Learn about the 4C’s of Community Building– Connections, Capacity, Community-led Action, and Community Culture and how they relate to the Applegate Valley Vision. This session will be led by A Greater Applegate’s own Co-Directors, Seth Kaplan and Megan Fehrman and Michelle Martin from the Ford Family Foundation.

Community Facilitation and Group Decision-Making Training on Thursday, February 23rd, 6:00-8:30 pm

Vince Smith from Southern Oregon University will walk us through how effective facilitation can enable groups of individuals and organizations to collaborate and achieve synergy so that we can all participate in solutions to the problems, decision-making, and implementation of projects.

30-60-90 Day Action Planning on Thursday, March 2nd from 5:00-7:00 pm

Max Gimbel from the Ford Family Foundation’s Rural Community Building Institute will teach us how to use their 30-60-90 Day Action Planning tool so that we can turn all the great ideas from the Applegate Valley Vision into action. This is a simple but powerful approach for moving a group or project toward a vision by defining accomplishments or benchmarks that can be achieved within 90 day increments. This workshop will provide an opportunity to learn about 90-day planning with direct application to your work or personal project. Please come prepared to do some 90-day planning on a project, action or initiative dear to your heart or work in collaboration with another workshop participant on a group project.

A Greater Applegate will provide dinner and beverages for each session. Childcare available upon request.
