Propagating From Seed and Greenhouse Basics

March 22 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm

Free

Starting your garden from seed saves money, reduces risk of pest problems, and provides fresh vegetables and herbs for your every day meals. Learn a few basics of how to propagate seed for your garden using simple greenhouse options for backyard gardens. Instruction will include soil options, seed needs, and factors important to control when growing in protected culture (greenhouses). We will demonstrate several greenhouse options ranging from a simple heat mat with thermostat to an outdoor greenhouse. This course is for home gardening only – not commercial growers. Only passive greenhouse features will be covered. All attendees will leave with 10-12 packets of seeds to start their own garden.
