Pre-Writing NaNoWriMo – Novel or Memoir

November is National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo)! The challenge of writing a novel or memoir in a month is much easier if prepared in advance. Learn how to do the prep work. Not writing a novel? Get a jumpstart on your memoir, which is the intersection between your life and a very specific subject. Learn what makes for conflict that is inherently fascinating. Begin with a log line, brainstorm an outline and considering how to add the components of any page-turner: compelling character, the gradual reveal and a deeper understanding of story arc for a dramatic ending that lingers.

She has a Masters Degree in Writing, and in Certification in teaching Rhetoric and Composition. Before the advent of the blog, she was a paid journalist for magazines such as The Horse, The Anvil and for Ironworks Magazine.
