Death Cafe Conversation, 13+ YRS

March 5 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Free

In a Death Cafe there’s no set agenda or speaker, just an informal, respectful space to share stories, ask questions, and discuss the sometimes difficult topic of mortality in a way that brings connection and insight. Participants often find relief and understanding, allowing conversations about death to enrich and affirm their lives. Parental discretion is advised for attendees under 18 as the content of these discussions is mature.

Southern Oregon Living and Dying Alliance (SOLADA) encourages open and honest discussions about the human experience of living and dying, and its relationship to love and grief. Our goal is to help create compassionate, caring communities that support individuals, families, and organizations during the transitions that accompany the dying process. Facilitators Ellen & Hayriya will hold the space and help the conversation flow. Ellen of Beatha Doula Services is a Life Doula who helps people with the transitions of birth, death, and life. Hayriya is the owner of Compassionate Care of Choice. She serves as a death doula, consultant and educator in Southern Oregon, and the driving force behind the creation of SOLADA.
