APPLEGATE LIBRARY PRESENTS: Learn About Bee Swarms with Your New Best Friends – The Bee Besties! 18+YRS

March 11 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Free

The thought of a bee swarm can be scary – but in fact it’s a very natural process! Learn more about this, and other fun bee related topics with the Bee Besties! The Bee Besties are 3 friends passionate about beekeeping and the trials and tribulations that come along with it. They are currently enrolled in the Master Beekeeping Program at Oregon State University where they are learning the importance of an educated approach to beekeeping. With 4 seasons of experience under their belts they’ve caught swarms, extracted colonies from homes, harvested and sold honey at local farmers’ markets, and navigated the challenges of queenless hives, seasonal feeding and much more!

Join them on their beekeeping adventures and learn alongside them.
