WHY HANG GLIDING?
Few experiences compare to the feeling of silent, unpowered flight. Since its introduction in the 1970s, hang gliding has become safer, more accessible, and more enjoyable than ever before. Under the guidance of a USHPA-certified instructor, many students are making their first flights within their first lesson or two.
If you’ve ever imagined soaring like an eagle, hang gliding offers the closest experience to true birdlike flight.
WHAT IT TAKES TO LEARN
You don’t need exceptional strength or athletic ability to learn. Most healthy adults who can comfortably carry 50–60 pounds a short distance can become pilots. Patience, good judgment, and a desire to learn are far more important than brute strength.
ARE YOU READY TO LIVE THE DREAM?
Learn from experience. James Tibbs has been flying hang gliders since 1991 and teaching new pilots as a USHPA-certified instructor since 2012. Rated as a Hang Gliding Master, he has the credentials, knowledge, and real-world experience to help you get off the ground and into the sky safely, efficiently, and with confidence.
