Miranda Caroligne

I create artwork and wearable items from natural materials and salvaged textiles. My fiber artwork weaves branches, twigs, grasses and other natural elements with woolen and cotton fibers to tell a story of a particular place or journey. I lean towards natural fibers in my woven wearables as well, combining simple traditional weaving techniques with surprising color hues. For the past 25 years I have been reconstructing clothing, taking existing clothing that has been discarded and refashioning it to embody values of diminishing waste as well as individual self-expression.
