By August 9, 2021No Comments

According to the OHA, the region of Jackson and Josephine counties has the highest rate of hospitalized COVID-19 patients per capita in Oregon, at 27.4 people hospitalized per 100,000 residents. This rate is almost triple the next highest region, which includes Coos, Curry, Douglas, and Lane counties (10.4). Jackson and Josephine counties both have seen record case counts recently. The typical pattern is increased case counts, followed by increased hospitalizations, followed by increased intensive care admissions, followed by increased deaths. Please consider getting vaccinated and wearing a mask.
