Virtual Lesson on Reducing Fuel Load on Your Property!

By April 15, 2020No Comments
Friends,
Please spread the word, we are going to try this electronic method to help people manage their property in lieu of meeting in person.
As most of you on this list either live rural or have an interest in fire ecology and have likely done a fair amount of annual fuel reduction near and around your homes and structures we have put together this virtual informative, yet entertaining look at what you can do to save your own place from wildfire. So join us this Thursday and get your property ready for what could be a severe fire season. Join Rich Fairbanks, forest land owner and old guy who fought fires for decades for a virtual presentation of fuels treatments.
Use of the “Thin-Pile-Burn” method is described in detail, as well as other methods for reducing the Rate of Spread (ROS), Resistance to Control (RTC) and Severity of wildfires.
As most of us rural internet users know, online videos can eat up a lot of bandwidth, so we a call in option where you can listen to the presentation.
