JCLS will begin providing front door service today as part of a plan approved by the Jackson County Library District board to re-introduce library services in stages.

I cannot think of a better way to cap off National Library Week than with the knowledge that we can begin to return to the work we love. We’ve missed you!

In this newsletter, you can learn how front door service works, check out our growing collection of virtual storytimes, view our calendar of online programs, and, as always, discover great content to entertain and educate.

We look forward to seeing you again at the Library.

Font Door Service

How does it work?

Patrons will be notified when their holds become available, and can pick up their items from branches duringĀ scheduled front door service hours. Front door service will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Patrons will be directed to wait in line at the library entrance, observing social distancing.

What should I bring to pick up my holds?
Patrons will need to bring their ID in order to pick up their holds, and should plan to bring their own bags.

When can I place a new hold?
New holds can be placed beginning Friday, May 8.

I have items checked out. Can I return them now?
Materials can be returned to the outside book drops at any branch location.

Can I donate my used books?
Unfortunately, not yet. JCLS and the Friends of Jackson County Library Services cannot accept book donations at this time.
