FREE Companion Planting Workshop

May 4 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm

Free

Josephine County Farm Collective is excited to present a Companion planting workshop.  Companion Planting is a gardening strategy that mimics the plant relationships found in nature to utilize garden space more efficiently, and manage pests, disease and weeds in a way you may have never thought possible. In this workshop, we will deep dive into the specifics of companion planting theory, observe naturally occurring companion guilds, and witness companion planting being used on the farm to maximize limited high-tunnel production areas. Participants will leave the farm with a basic working knowledge of how to incorporate companion planting into their own garden system. The first 15 attendees to arrive will receive a brand new copy of Planting Partners book for reference.

Josh Cohen has owned and operated Barking Moon Farm for almost 20 years, and is passionate about growing nutritious, delicious and visually stunning certified organic vegetables for the hungry members of his community.
