Applegate Farmers- What’s Available Right Now!?
Did you hear the great news about Oregon Food Bank receiving $8million in emergency assistance for the Oregon Food Bank Network? That translates into helpful news for our local farmers. ACCESS will be reimbursed for local food purchases that we make this week. We are hoping to collect a list of what farmers have available right now. We want to buy produce that is already packaged in amounts that are appropriate for one household.

Josephine County Food Bank is looking to connect with farmers for local food purchases for next week. Below are details on the kinds of foods they are looking for, amount, and pick up info.
- Kinds of foods for next week: Iceberg lettuce, romaine lettuce, asparagus, broccoli, green beans, radishes, peas, celery, potatoes, spinach
- Quantity/volume: 500 lbs. of each
- Delivery (could JCFB pick up or would grower need to deliver) Depending on the amount they give us, we could pick up, and as long as it is scheduled ahead of time so we can arrange staff to be available.
