Grants Pass, March 26, 2020 —Josephine Community Library (JCL) continues to serve the community virtually during the COVID-19 pandemic by focusing on the purchase of e-books.
The library is purchasing new digital content for the online library to ensure community members have access to updated e-books during the pandemic stay-at-home order. Collection development librarians are making selections based on long wait times and patron holds, suggestions for purchase, and the Publisher’s Weekly Best Sellers List.
Library staff is encouraging community members to suggest the purchase of e-books they are interested in checking out through the library website: https://josephinelibrary.org/using-your-library/request-a-purchase/.
For community members who do not yet have a library card, a new free temporary e-card is available. Anyone interested should visit josephinelibrary.org for step-by-step instructions. With this e-card, patrons have access to e-books, audiobooks, and interactive and educational databases for all ages.
Phone lines and email are open for tech support at all four branches in Grants Pass, Illinois Valley, Williams, and Wolf Creek during regular service hours. For more information, and resources for all ages while community members are homebound, visit josephinelibrary.org or email [email protected].
