SUMMARY:Midori's Food Booth
DESCRIPTION:We are excited to be hosting Midori’s Food Booth out front of the farm on July 17th. Stop by her booth for a tasty bite of Japanese food made with local produce.\n\nMidori (her nickname is Mido since childhood) moved to Oregon from Japan in 2016\, and fell in love with the nature and people in Southern Oregon.  She started making her own miso in her early 20’s since she started traveling outside of Japan to comfort her diet. She manifested her passion to share her traditional culture and healthy food with the local community\, she started making Koji (culture\, fungi that is used for making miso\, sake\, soy sauce) and Miso.  Locally sourced and high quality organic ingredients are used in her products.  Ashland Food Coop has been carrying her signature Oregon grown “Chickpea Miso Mellow” since its debut to the community.

SUMMARY:Salve Making Class at Oshala
DESCRIPTION:Making your own herbal salves and oils can be a hugely satisfying experience.  We’ll use pre-infused herbal oil to make our own herbal first aid salve. Pre-registration required. More details will be sent several days before the class.  Children 8 and up welcome to participate at half cost (contact Lauren directly to register children). \nThis class is immediately following a free farm tour of Oshala Farm\, at 3pm. \nhttps://www.backyard-wildcraft.com/events/herbal-salves-and-infused-oils
