SUMMARY:Building Resilience and Taking Action: The SOCAN Strategic Plan
DESCRIPTION:SOCAN’s Executive Director\, Daniel Scotton\, has collaborated with the SOCAN Board in the development of a Strategic Plan to guide our activities through future months and years.  During the March General meeting\, Daniel will introduce the Strategic Plan and invite SOCAN activists to offer input. \nIn inviting SOCAN activists to join us for this meeting\, Daniel noted: “Studies have shown that most people are concerned about the climate crisis. We know that real change starts in our communities.” \nDuring this conversation Daniel will walk the audience through SOCAN’s updated strategic plan. We will then transition into a series of community listening tables. At the listening tables we want to hear from you– your ideas\, and experiences. This is a chance for the community to share what’s missing and what we can do together. Whether you have big ideas or just want to listen and be a part of the conversation. \nIn encouraging climate concerned Southern Oregonians to participate in the discussion\, Daniel observed: “Whether you’re passionate about science education\, want to support local climate initiatives or state/federal action\, or are looking for ways to engage with decision-makers\, your voice matters. Together\, we can build a stronger\, more informed\, and more resilient community.” \nWe invite our friends to join us as we discuss the Strategic Plan to offer ideas on implementing proposed sub-goals.
