Wolf Gap Trail Work Party on the Sterling Mine Ditch Trail

January 15 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

Join the Siskiyou Upland Trails Association’s first work party of 2022! The weather is looking sunny and mild–should be perfect for the minor tread work this part of the trail needs. The 1-mile long access trail crosses through a variety of forest types and grassy meadows as it descends from the TH to the ditch trail–great views of the Siskiyou Crest and Little Applegate Valley! Expect to hike about 2 miles, over 1000′ elevation gain.

Meet at the Wolf Gap TH, which is about 3 miles uphill from the Sterling Creek Road turnoff onto Deming-Armstrong Road.

Wear comfortable hiking or work boots, work gloves, and dress in layers. Bring water and whatever special snacks you like. Please bring a mask to wear when we’re gathering and when we can’t be safely distanced while working.

SUTA will provide yummy home-baked goodies and some purchases wrapped snacks, plus bottled water. SUTA will provide tread tools like grubbers, Pulaskis, and McLeods, but if you have a favorite tread tool, please bring it.

Pack a lunch if you’d like to socialize at the TH when we’re finished working.

RSVP: Please email so we can plan tools, PPE, and snacks and snacks!

Thank you for helping us keep these community trails open!
