Legends of course!\n\nTodd Shaeffer is lead singer and songwriter for Railroad Earth. For over two decades\, Railroad Earth has captivated audiences with gleefully unpredictable live shows and eloquent and elevated studio output. The group introduced its signature sound in 2001 with the release of The Black Bear Sessions. Between selling out hallowed venues such as Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison\, CO\, they’ve launched the longstanding annual Hangtown Music Festival in Placerville\, CA and Hillberry: The Harvest Moon Festival in Ozark\, AR—both running for a decade-plus. \n\nTeaming up with Todd for this epic concert series is Chris Thompson of The Coral Creek Band. Inspired by the islands and the mountains alike\, CORAL CREEK conjures a unique vibe\, delivering big sounds and high-energy shows that appeal to audiences across the newgrass\, rock\, and jamband senses alike\, drawing influence from legendary guitarists Jerry Garcia and Tony Rice. Coral Creek was launched into the heart of the Colorado music scene with the release of their album The Road Ahead (2010)\, produced by Bill Nershi of the String Cheese Incident. SUMMARY:Ruch Library Oregon Trail Quilt Program
DESCRIPTION:12 + years\n\nDescribed as “a determined\, trail-wise woman”\, Mary Louisa Black and her family left Missouri in 1865 to begin their trek to the Oregon country. When preparing for their journey\, Mary Louisa included in their belongings a quilt\, “sent along to be a comfort and reminder of the loving friends who quilted the going away present”. The Blacks settled along the Rogue River\, near Shady Cove. Annice Black\, Mary Louisa’s great-granddaughter\, speaks about her family’s rich history and the quilt that has been in the family’s possession for 157 years.
