DESCRIPTION:Tickets are $59 each and include a commemorative Wine Trail wine glass. Many wineries will provide music and/or artisan vendors.\n \n18 wineries in the Applegate participate in this fun\, self-guided tour. You pick your starting location from the list below\, but you’re free to visit any number of the 18 wineries on the Trail. Each winery will offer an appetizer and a wine for tasting plus an educational opportunity to learn more about the wine making craft. We’ll be posting the final list of pairings closer to the event\, so check back for details. This event also provides a great opportunity to stock up on wines for gifts or parties. We encourage you to bring your friends\, designate a driver and enjoy this great event. Its also the perfect opportunity to explore new wineries that you’ve never been to before! \nUncorked guests will also enjoy being Wine Club members for a day with 15% OFF all Applegate Wine Trail wines the day of Uncorked. \nDesignated drivers don’t need to purchase a ticket and may sample the food. The event will conclude at 4pm\, however many tasting rooms will remain open until 5pm. \nPlease Note – In an effort to conserve natural resources no tickets are mailed. You have your purchase confirmation as a receipt. Simply arrive at the location you’ve chosen\, your name will be on a list to check in and start your tour. SUMMARY:Election 2022 – Now What?
DESCRIPTION:The 2022 mid-terms represented a critical moment when voters were able to express the level of their concern by electing candidates who acknowledge the climate crisis and commit to action. \nThe November SOCAN general public meeting program will be devoted to exploring the results of the 2022 election and assessing how they influence local\, state\, and national efforts to address the climate crisis. In Oregon\, the Governorship and both chambers remain in the control of those concerned about the climate crisis. The view from the State Capitol will be presented by Oregon House District 5 Representative Pam Marsh while SOCAN co-facilitator Alan Journet will provide comments on local and federal possibilities. \nIn addition\, in response to frequent requests from SOCAN volunteers and program attendees for help in talking with friends and relatives who are skeptical about climate science\, we have arranged a program to do just that. Warren Kahn\, senior trainer for the More To Life international educational non-profit foundation and presenter of a two part workshop to be held in January 2023\, will introduce this special offering.
