Unlike a traditional yoga or meditation class\, a sound bath requires no physical movement—just an open mind and a willingness to receive.\nWhat to Expect in a Sound Bath Workshop \n\nGentle Opening & Intention Setting: The session often begins with breathwork\, light stretching\, or guided meditation to prepare the body and mind for deep relaxation.\nImmersive Sound Journey: Participants lie comfortably on a yoga mat or cushion while a practitioner plays a variety of healing instruments\, such as:\nCrystal singing bowls (each tuned to a different chakra)\nTibetan bowls (for grounding and deep relaxation)\nGongs (for powerful energetic shifts)\nChimes\, tuning forks\, or drums (to clear and balance energy)\nDeep Relaxation & Energy Clearing: As the sound vibrations resonate through the body\, they help release tension\, stress\, and stagnant energy\, allowing for deep rest and inner balance.\nIntegration & Closing Circle: After the sound bath\, participants slowly return to a waking state\, often with a brief discussion to integrate the experience.

SUMMARY:Music & Song: ‘Be a Light’ for Peace\, Justice\, the Earth
DESCRIPTION:The Rogue Valley Peace Choir — now celebrating its 22nd year — is presenting a concert entitled Be a Light. The choir — directed by Rob Griswell-Lowry and accompanied by Mikiko Petrucelli — is a community\, secular choir dedicated to building peace\, equality\, social justice\, and stewardship of our planet through song.  The concert’s Be a Light theme is inspired by one of the songs in the choir’s repertoire that encourages people not to “hide in the dark\,” but to be a light in a world full of hate\, to be peace in a time full of war\, and to make a difference where change is needed. Other songs in the repertoire express the choir’s passion for recognizing the connection to everyone in our community and beyond; for supporting social justice\, diversity and self acceptance; and for treading lightly on our Mother Earth.  While the concerts are free\, donations of any amount are welcome\, with a suggested donation of $15 for adults; no one will be turned away. Donations support the choir’s ability to perform for free at schools\, senior homes\, and community events throughout the year.
