SUMMARY:Spring Plant Sale
DESCRIPTION:Join us for our annual Spring Native Plant Sale for the Pollinators! \n  \nLocation: Parking lot behind The Pollination Place\, 312 N. Main St.\, Phoenix  (behind the Oregon Cheese Cave) \nFind lots of native plants from Pollinator Project Rogue Valley and returning vendors Klamath Siskiyou Native Seeds\, Cornucopia Acres\, OUR Community Forestry\, and White Oak Farm! Plus our friends with Siskiyou Native Plant Society\, Siskiyou Chapter! \nA few weeks before the sale\, we will update the Event page with the approximate inventory of plants from each of the vendors. Knowing the plants you want to purchase and which vendor has them will make your shopping experience more enjoyable and productive! \n* Please expect the first hour or two to be VERY crowded!\n* Please – no dogs except service animals.\n* Parking is VERY limited at the sale site. You will find parking on Main Street\, along neighborhood streets\, and in the Umpqua Bank and Civic Center lots. Be prepared to walk a block or two\n* Vendors are unable to accept payment for other vendors – please pay for plants in the space they are in.\n* Not all vendors take credit cards. If paying in cash\, small bills are always appreciated.\n* If possible\, please bring boxes\, bins\, baskets\, or other containers to carry your plants.\n* Restroom facilities will not be available.\n* Helpful volunteers will be available to help with plant selection and to load out large purchases.\n* Vehicles will be able to access the area for pick up after purchase\, but bringing a cart to transport your purchases back to your car is a good idea.\n* Pollinator Project Rogue Valley will have merchandise for sale (native plant books\, bumble bee books\, yard signs) and donations are always appreciated! \nPollinator Project Rogue Valley is a volunteer-led Oregon-registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit concerned about the health of our native pollinators and plant communities. We offer multiple programs to help realize our goal to increase\, protect\, and steward native plants for native pollinators. Our Growing Gardens for Pollinators program encompasses our on-site nursery where we propagate native plants to share with the community through donations and plant sales. Seed is packaged and sold\, or donated to schools\, community gardens\, and other community partners. \nDate & Time:\nApril 27\, 2025 @ 10:00 am – 2:00 pm \nCost: Free\n  \n

SUMMARY:UNITY: Earth Day Celebration
DESCRIPTION:All ages come in costume for the Earth Species Parade!\n\nCome early for face painting!\n\nSCA Bandshell in Williams\, Oregon\n\nFood\, Dessert\, & Drinks\nEnvironmental Booths\nChildren’s Activities\nMusic: Omiza River\, Windsong and Friends (Harmony Sue\, David\, Kai\, Murray Kyle\, Sara Tone\, and Jeff Jacobs)\, and Frankie Hernadez!\n\n\nEvent information Link:\nhttps://www.williamscommunityforestproject.org/2025-earth-day-unity/\n\nWe are coming together in Unity to celebrate and advocate for the protection the Earth.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe first Earth Day mobilized millions of Americans to participate in environmental actions\, such as clean-up campaigns and protests against pollution. It has since grown into a global event\, with people worldwide taking part in activities to address climate change\, conservation\, and environmental justice. Clean Air Act\, Clean Water Act\, the establishment of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)\, or the Endangered Species Act\, are significant laws and initiatives that played a role in shaping the broader environmental movement of the time. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThose protections are again being threatened and we need to give our voice and actions to an ongoing protection.\n\nIf you would like to volunteer\, please let us know! We need help in preparing and serving food\, parking\, and an assortment of activities.\nPlease email info@williamscommunityforestproject.org to volunteer.\n\nThanks for your actions and care for our shared environment!\nWCFP
